New Year, New Stationery | Stationery Haul #1

It's really no secret that I am a huge stationery addict, my blog, twitter and instagram are smothered in photos with pens, papers and notebooks in. I just can't hold myself back from buying minimal or vintage style stationery goods.

As the new year rolled in it was the perfect excuse for me to expand my collection and blame it on the fact that I wanted to focus on my hobbies - letter writing and journalling. What are better ways to decorate your journal entries and letters than with washi tapes and stickers?

I will be honest, I've spent A LOT of money this month on stationery alone, I didn't realise just how much I bought until I put it all in a pile and added it all up but I am really happy that I did because I was in desperate need of fulfilling my stationery needs.  Pretty stationery is a huge motivator for me and it really pushes me to use it to liven up my planners and writing. I feel that pen and paper can look a little boring on its own and it always ends up in the recycling bin but when it's pretty and decorated it has a whole new lease of life, I'll display it wherever I can and focus on making my next piece of writing even prettier.

The Watercolour Guide | Supplies & Essentials

Welcome back to another watercolour related post! This is the second instalment of my watercolour guide so if you haven't already make sure you've read the first part of the series Things To Know When You're Starting Out

Over the past year or so that I've been using watercolours I've purchased A LOT of different paints and supplies and I've finally narrowed it down to my favourites and bare essentials that really make the difference in my art. All you really need to get started with watercolours is a the right paint, a decent brush and watercolour paper that can withstand a decent amount of water but there's loads of little extras that can really make your paintings come to life.

Why I Use My Travellers Notebook As A Planner

If you're a lover of Instagram and youtube then I'm sure you've heard about the Midori Travellers Notebook, it has taken the planner junkies and stationery addicts by storm. They're most popular for their beautifully stylish, vintage leather covers and how much freedom you have for customisation.

I've always had an obsession with stationery since I was a little girl, I remember when I was in year 3 at school and I had the best pencil case in the class full to the brim with super cute pens and pencils. Everybody always turned to me to lend a pen for the lesson. The love for stationery never left me and my room to this day is filled with beautiful notebooks, pens, pencils, sticky notes, washi tape, rubber stamps and un-needed office supplies, I just can't help myself.

The Watercolour Guide | Things To Know When You're Starting Out

Why hello there m'darling, I'm guessing you're here because you want to know where to start with watercolours, am I right? Probably not but that's what this post is going to be about today, yay.

For almost a year I have been using watercolours and I've already learnt so much about how to use them and what works and what doesn't so I've decided to put my little-to-somewhat knowledge to good use and write a post for you budding watercolour enthusiasts. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE art but I am no professional, I'm just sharing tips I've learn throughout my watercolour adventure.

Why Hello There, 2017

Man, I can't believe it, it's finally a new year! Let's say farewell to 2016 by telling the world just how naff it was. ~Thank god it's over~ Now I'm not the type to say all this "new year, new me" malarky but this year I think it just may be my year for a change. There's no real reason why I think this beside my gut having a fluttery feeling when I think about it, ooooo.
