Why Hello There, 2017

Man, I can't believe it, it's finally a new year! Let's say farewell to 2016 by telling the world just how naff it was. ~Thank god it's over~ Now I'm not the type to say all this "new year, new me" malarky but this year I think it just may be my year for a change. There's no real reason why I think this beside my gut having a fluttery feeling when I think about it, ooooo.

You can't kick start a new year without a long list of resolutions you probably won't stick to like giving up chocolate or start going to the gym so instead of making a long list of what's not going to happen Im going to make a short-ish list of things that need to happen over time.

1. Drink water
You know you have those water-holics that constantly have a bottle of water next to them no matter where they are or what they're doing or they order a cold tap water with ice at every meal they attend? I. Want. To. Be. That. Person. However I know that's not going to happen because I won't touch a single drop of plain water unless it has flavouring added to it. I need to start drinking plain water and give my body what it truly needs.

2. Leave the house more often
Why would anybody ever want to leave their house, I don't understand. I have food, warmth, my bed, wifi, CATS, what else could anybody need? Exercise! ~sighhhhhh~ God I hate that word "exercise" it just sounds gross but if I don't start "exercising" soon then I'm never going to get healthier. 

3. Up my blogging game
Girllll, it's time for me to up my game and get my blog on! One minute I'm on a roll and then boop, back down to square one and this year, THIS YEAR THERE WILL BE NO MORE GOING DOWN HILL! I'm kicking my butt into shape and upping my blog game, bring it on!

4. Embrace with art
I'm no Van Gogh or Monet but I do love art. I suck at it but I do really love it and this year I want it to be a main focus of mine so I can really work hard on improving it. 

5. Become one with the lens
I love photography and my DSLR so much but let's be real I'm just as bad behind the lens than I am in front of it so it's about time I really learnt the power of my camera and focused on using it properly and more often!

They're not exactly ground-breaking I know but they're small things that I genuinely want to change and improve about myself. I decided to set myself smaller, realistic and important goals which won't make a huge strain on my life rather than huge strenuous ones. What's the point in setting straining, stressful goals which will probably cause more harm than good when you can set yourself reach-able goals which you are more likely to achieve?

It's important that we set ourselves achievable goals rather than un-realistic ones else we'd stress ourselves out and push our selves too hard trying to achieve them. What are your goals for the new year?
